Story
Synopsis:
An Indigenous female vigilante deals with an onset of panic attacks as she struggles to come to terms with murdering and scalping a local man responsible for the recent slew of missing Indigenous women on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
Storyboard Process:
Each photo was taken using either a vintage Polaroid Sun660 camera (Color 600) or the Nikon F100 50mm (Kodak 400TX) We follow Witko through her morning routine as she is haunted by anxiety having just scalped a man. She begins to find pieces of hair everywhere including her food. The photos focus on a single candle which seems to light itself whenever another young girl goes missing. The character is haunted by this candle as it shows itself in real-time and in her dreams.
